Brief Tango Teaching Bio
I started Argentine tango in 1990 when I was teaching at Stanford University. We had yearly Tango weeks and it was my first introduction and I mediately fell in love. Since then I've been 14 times to Argentina, been in two Tango shows and spent $100,000 on my Tango education. I am currently teaching at two community colleges, Skyline college in San Bruno and Cañada College in Redwood City. I'm constantly amazed by the sweetness of our students and it goes along so well with the sweetness of Tango. As a ballet dancer, before coming to Skyline and Cañada colleges I toured the world with five major dance companies dancing in the most beautiful theaters between San Francisco and the Baltic Sea. I gave private performances for Rudolf Nureyev & Margot Fonteyn, and for Princess Grace of Monte Carlo at her palace. Our Tango classes have produced many excellent, confident, and happy tango dancers for our community.
