  • Melina Mistral Intermediate Queer Tango Workshop Tuesday, Jan. 31 6:45 - 7:00 Check in 7:00 - 8:30 Workshop 8:30 - 9:00 Practica $25 General. (Students with ID $12) Registration is required: abrazoqueertango@gmail.com The Dome 951 62nd Street Oakland, CA Map Workshop topic: What the "Free Leg" Really Means. Deeply misunderstood, partly because of the name given to it, the "free leg", the one on which the axis is not aligned, will be explored through different solo and partner exercises. This will not only help with obvious "free leg" movements, such as boleos (which we won't do in this class), but also the most "basic" movement, such as the walk. This will encourage a more grounded, comfortable, and equal sensation in the dance and between partners. Abrazo Queer Tango is so very pleased to welcome Melinda Mistral from Montreal to teach this special workshop! All merrymakers, queer, trans, non-binary, straight and unicorn dancers are welcome to join us. Proof of vax + booster, upgraded mask required
