So many choices of events...but we hope to see you at our final tango party of the year in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon December 10, 2023 at St. Clement's! It's our Empanada Milonga, and we are closing our 10th year with live tango music with our original band, great DJ music from the fabulous Don An, and of course our signature complimentary empanadas and fine Argentine wine! Even if you don't dance the tango (shame on you!), I guarantee you'll love the music, especially the Orquesta Z Trio (we play our special selections from traditional Piazzolla to nuevo versions of Metallica, Brandi Carlyle, and Nine Inch Nails!), and it's so much fun to watch beautiful dancers in a sunny, garden setting on a beautiful 1923 hardwood dance floor! If you haven't come before, this would be a great time to join us at the sweetest "milonga" (tango dance party) in the Bay Area. This month we are excited to present one of our favorite tango quartets featuring that fabulous father and son team of Julian Ramil on bandoneon and Diego Ramil on piano with Hereen Oh on violin and Chris Johnson on contrabass. Together they play wonderful traditional golden era tango that you would hear in Buenos Aires.
In between lives sets we will be entertained with the great DJ Don An, who also organizes Dance Boulevard in San Jose, and plays the recorded music we all love and can dance to.
